Hi, I hope you won't mind a slightly longer comment/review.

Overall I really enjoyed the game and found it a nice time, though I do have a few bits of feedback.

Pros:

  • Your artstyle is very cute and I find that its simplicity fits the wholesome and yet slightly macabre vibe very well
  • The plot was interesting to follow and left a lot of potential for more to be done with the characters.
  • Speaking of the characters, you introduced a lot of them for such a short game and yet I found that none of them felt unnecessary which is very impressive (and again, a lot of potential for things to be explored like what happened between Yukina and Lemontart, or Ruepie and Lemontart [...Lemontart has a lot of beef between him and other people doesn't he], the stuff about Fukuro, Okari, and Tori's parents, in general what Ruepie's deal is or whatever is going on with Mochi, Redd and Chare since they’re only really there for one game over route etc etc) My fav character was probably Yukina :>
  • The CGs were all very nice; In particular I found the CG with Lixue during the good ending to be pretty cool.

Cons:

  • I would really recommend running your dialogue through a spell check. There’s a lot of typos and small grammatical errors. Additionally, you should be putting full stops at the end of dialogue sentences, even at the end of the textbox. I don’t find this stuff particularly deal-breaking myself, but I know that people can get really bothered by it. At the very least I strongly suggest fixing the name in the download file and updating the name to be spelled correctly in the game’s description.
  • I would probably suggest giving the wolf a bit of stall time at the start of the chase sequences. The first time the chase happened I died before I even got my hands on the keyboard because I was yet to even realize that I was given back control of the character much less the fact a chase sequence was happening. The way I personally viewed it is if I saw a cutscene of the characters running away and then it cuts it would cut to after the running away and not “running away part 2 now you do it”.
  • This is nitpicky but the bone asset is very hard to see against the snow on both of my monitors. This is fine in the start when Noelle is making the hook, it’s like ooo gore hidden in the snow and all that I get it, but during the chase when the screen is constantly moving it gets a bit hard to see and I did get tripped up by it because I simply couldn’t see it. I’d suggest making the bones a bit more yellowed or perhaps adding some blood splatter on there so they’re easier to see.

Stil even with those small issues, overall this game was very nice and I hope you’ll continue to make more games. I’m not trying to discourage you here. I can see a lot of potential with the little world you’ve crafted here and I hope it will be used eventually.

Have a great day ^^

Edit: Wait, I forgot to ask. What's the axe used for? I got all endings and picked every choice I could, as well as tried to interact with all characters but I never figured out when it was used, if at all.

How do i get the good ending, im going insane at 2 am please 😎

Hi, In order to get the good ending while in Tori's house some of the objects inside the home can be interacted with, one of these objects upon being interacted with results in a event that triggers the good ending, hope this might be helpful

OMGG TYSM i did it and unlocked it!!! i think i rushed it to much on my first playtrought, great game, keep making them.

I liked it!
